11th Annual Deputy's Bash
The 11th Annual Deputy's Bash was held on Saturday, March 30, 2002 at the home
of 1995 Ostertag Plaque Hoister Tom Land and his wife Carol's house. We
all had such a swell time at their house during the 2001 Deputy's Bash,
that we invited ourselves over again this year.
Here's 1995 Ostertag Plaque Hoister and host Tom Land (left) and Benevolent Grand
Pooh-Bah Gavin McCollam. Notice how our graphic art department used the
"blur" function on the photo editing software to effectively
remove the annoying teenaged boys in the background who were trying to
disrupt an otherwise very nice photo opportunity. Hey, Gavin, nice shirt!
Here's Prognosticator Dan Asplund (left) and 1992 'Ganza Champ Rob Sipes
during a particularly tense part of the basketball game. Either that or it
was a particularly disturbing commercial. Hey Rob, nice shirt!
Here's Prognosticator Jason Sauer (seated, back), and Future
Prognosticator Elijah Sauer (reclining, front) enjoying the game. Well, at
least Jason is enjoying the game. Elijah is dreaming of running after a
puppy while holding an ice cream cone in each hand.
Here's a group photo consisting of (L to R): Prognosticator Dan Sipes,
Sr., Deputy Pooh-Bah Dan Sipes, Prognosticator Jason Sauer, and Future
Prognosticator Elijah Sauer. Hey, Dan, nice shirt!
Here's (clockwise from left) Prognosticator Kathy Asplund, Prognosticator
and Hostess Carol Land, Prognosticator and Second Lady Tammy Sipes, and
Future Prognosticator Joshua Sipes (pretending to be locked up in the
clink.) Hey Tammy and Joshua, nice shirts!

certificate from Gavin McCollam, Benevolent Grand Pooh-Bah. Photographer
Rob Sipes was practicing the old "tilt the camera" photographic
technique. Hey Gavin, nice shirt!

Here's the Pooh-Bah kissing a baby with a pretzel stick in his mouth (the
Pooh-Bah has the pretzel stick in his mouth, not the baby.) Hey Gavin,
nice shirt!
Here's our hosts for the day. (L to R) Carol Land, Big Screen Land, and
1995 Ostertag Plaque Hoister Tom Land.
The following Monday, April 1, 2002, the Pooh-Bah sponsored an
invitation only shindig at the Deputy's house to watch the Championship
Game. If you weren't invited, it does not necessarily mean that the
Pooh-Bah doesn't like you. It could mean that a tornado came and sucked
your invitation out of your mailbox before you checked the mail that day.

Here's (L to R) Prognosticator Dan Cox, Benevolent Grand
Pooh-Bah Gavin McCollam, Prognosticator Mike Paul, and Prognosticator Dan
Sipes, Sr. Hey Dan and Gavin, nice shirts!

Here's (L to R) Dan Sipes, Sr., 1992 'Ganza Champ Rob
Sipes, and Prognosticator Dan Asplund.

Here's Deputy Pooh-Bah Dan Sipes stuffing his face and
making no excuses for it. Hey Dan, nice shirt!

Here's Benevolent Grand Pooh-Bah Gavin McCollam slamming
home a monster jam. Hey Gavin, nice shirt!

jam. Hey Gavin, nice shirt!

Here's our hosts for the evening. (L to R)
Prognosticator and Second Lady Tammy Sipes, Deputy Pooh-Bah Dan Sipes, and Small Screen Sipes. Hey
Dan, nice shirt!

Here's a rare, behind-the-scenes look at the Pooh-Bah and his trusty
Deputy in action. After the game is over, long after all the little
Prognosticators have gone to beddie-bye, Gavin and Dan run the scoring
software one last time and upload the final standings on to the 'Ganza web
site. Hey Dan and Gavin, nice shirts!
