HISTORY OF SPECIAL AWARDS
1994  -  Al Davis Award  -  Dan Asplund
for being totally consumed with the sport.  Characterized by "I've got a hunch" trades, trading and reaquiring the same players and the uncontrollable desire to trade players even when all hope is lost.
1995  -  Charles O. Finley Award  -  Gavin McCollam
for introducing the Fantasy Football League playoff system and causing the Commissioner, who would have had free munchies under the old system, to instead place 8th!!!!  The wrath of the FFL Gods was kindled and the visionary finished dead last.
1995  -  "Jon Patch" Team Management Award  -  Bill Berger
for taking the term "Hands-off Management" to new heights.
1997  -  Rookie of the Year  -  Mike Paul
for starting out 0-3 but battling back to make the playoffs and forcing the Commissioner into the consolation bracket in the process.
1997  -  Hot Air Award  -  Dan Cox
Hark, the dark shadow of the "Kiss of Death" hast enveloped thee and proved a force superior to thine own.
1997  -  "I'm not ducking!" Award  -  Dennis Roller
for crowing a bit too early after crushing the Pendragon and promptly losing nine consecutive games.…the tomatoes are flying!
1997  -  "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" Award  -  Jon Patch
for proving that Ignorance truly is bliss!
1998  -  "It was broke, you should have fixed it!" Award  -  Jon Patch
Oh, how the mighty have fallen!
1998  -  Rookie of the Year  -  Tad Torgeson
for finishing 9-4, winning the Consolation Championship and finishing third in total points.
1998  -  Spirit Award  -  Brent Mertz
For playing hard right up to the end and making trades even after being eliminated from Fumble Bowl contention.
1998  -  Thanks for Being Busy Award  -  Mike Paul
for not being able to make the draft party, thus allowing the Commissioner to draft Terrell Davis with the 3rd pick.
1999  -  BIENNIAL MAN  -  Keith Glatt
for finishing in the money every other year - you'll be eating free next year!
1999  -  CONSOLATION MAN  -  Don LaFleur
for battling it out in the Consolation Championship 4 out of 5 years and winning it 3 times.
2000  -  "See now, that wasn't so bad!" Award  -  Jon Patch
for finally caving in and making trades!
2001  -  You can run, but you can't hide Award  -  Dan Asplund
for starting out 5-0, winning the division and making the FFL Super Bowl, until the curse of the "Kiss of Death" finally tracked him down!
2001  -  Comeback Kid Award  -  Dennis Roller
for starting out 0-5 and then winning 8 straight make the playoffs, only to ultimately lose by a tiebreaker in the first round of the playoffs.
2001  -  Rebuilding Year Award - co-winner  -  Gavin McCollam
for going 2-11 during the regular season and finishing 174 points behind the next closest team.
2001  -  Rebuilding Year Award - co-winner  -  Jon Patch
for going 3-10 during the regular season and finishing with the second lowest point total in league history.
2002  -  Rookie of the Year  -  Jason Sauer
for finishing 9-4, winning the Total Points Title and finishing in second place.
2002  -  "I Could've been a Contender" Award  -  Rob Sipes
for losing by a tiebreaker in the first round of the playoffs and having scores for the next three weeks that would have won the Fumble Bowl.
2002  -  "I Can't Get No Satisfaction" Award  -  Dennis Roller
for being in the Fumble League for eight years and never eating for free.
2003 - Minnesota Vikings Award - Gavin McCollam
for being in the Fumble League for nine years and never winning the big one.
2004 - "I Love This Game!" Award - Jon Patch
for finishing the regular season 6 and 7 yet still making the playoffs, losing the Fumble Bowl yet still eating for free.
2004 - San Deigo Charges Award - Dennis Roller
for dominating his division only to lose to the 6 and 7 Parsimony in the playoffs.
2005 Lovable Losers Award - aka The Three Stooges - Gavin McCollam, Dennis Roller, Mike Paul
for participating in the Fumble league for 11, 11 and 9 years respectively, and never tasting the victory of eating for free.
2005 "I Want a Do Over" Award - Dan Sipes
with the 2nd pick in the draft made the following picks:
- Priest Holmes (81 pts) vs. Shaun Alexander (288 pts), 
- Jamal Lewis (84 pts) vs. Rudi Johnson (163 pts), 
- Terrell Owens (84 pts) vs. Chad Johnson (143 pts)
2006 Three Amigos Award - "So Others May Win" - Gavin McCollam, Dennis Roller, Mike Paul
for participating in the Fumble league for 12, 12 and 10 years respectively, and sacrificing themselves so others may eat for free.
