Pooh-Bah's Favorite Sites
Sports Sites: TurboTourney Software. This is undoubtedly the best software the Pooh-Bah has found for running your own contest. The good folks at TurboTourney have been a valuable resource to the 'Ganza. If you are running your own contest where the winner gets something other than the Coveted Ostertag Plaque, we recommend you use TurboTourney. Rotoguru's Market Madness Contest. 'Ganza Prognosticator Dave Hall (aka The Guru) is again hosting his unique tournament contest. Dave has an unique, wacky stocks and bonds type scoring method that confuses the poor Pooh-Bah every year -- but you won't find another one like it. Dave has a nice year-round fantasy sports site, well worth your clicks. Only one drawback: Not an Ostertag Plaque in sight. Affordable Trophies. The fine people at the hallowed halls of Affordable Trophies are the exclusive fabricators of the Coveted Ostertag Plaque. Steve and the gang make a great product at a great price. Tell them Pooh sent you. Office Pool 64. This is a nice site with a free online pool. You can not win an Ostertag Plaque, but you can win some cool prizes to be determined. March MadNET. The good folks at March MadNET sponsor a contest where you pick the winners of each game. The good news? If you have a stinky round one, you can start over in later rounds! The bad news? No Ostertag Plaques awarded. iSportslinks.com. Here's an "Amazing Fantasy Sports" site that itemizes tons of March Madness Contests. Not a Coveted Ostertag Plaque in any of them, of course, but a great site to check out.
Other Sites That Pooh Enjoys: Read up on the Pooh-Bah's favorite baseball team by going to the official Kansas City Royals Home Page. The Pooh-Bah has been a Nebraska Football fan since he was a little tyke growing up in Big Eight country. Read about the Cornhuskers at the Lincoln Journal Star! If one were to scroll through the artists on Pooh's .mp3 player, one would likely find Third Day, The Proclaimers, or Alison Krauss. The Pooh-Bah and his lovely wife saw the Proclaimers in concert in July of 2002. They had a great time, and even took some pictures! They also saw Alison Krauss and Union Station in concert in September of 2003. Take a look! Like to read? Of course you do! So does Pooh. His favorite is J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings. You can read about and purchase Lord of the Rings books at the Houghton Mifflin web site. HM has been the "authorized" Tolkien publisher for over 65 years. The Pooh-Bah also enjoys some of the finer Tolkien inspired artists, like Alan Lee, John Howe, and Ted Nasmith, and even has this print in his study. One of the Pooh-Bah's co-workers is an award winning photographer. Skip over to Stoney Lonesome Photos to see some of the finest outdoor photography in the region. Tell them the Pooh-Bah sent you and you will receive a 10% discount on any purchase! Have you missed out on the latest news from the Pooh-Bah's home town? Well, catch up now by perusing the on-line version of the Bismarck Tribune!
Prognosticator's Pages: DougBrewerMagic.com. Believe it or not, Prognosticator and Childhood Friend of the Pooh-Bah Doug Brewer is an award winning magician in San Diego. His new web site includes his performance calendar, a short biography, and an on-line store. Tell Doug the Pooh-Bah sent you and he'll give you a 10% discount on any of his books and videos! Doug also has teamed up with another magician to form The Magical Misfits. Hey, 'Ganza Prognosticators! Let me know if you want a page listed here too! |
